The Black “Pirate” Boots feature a 4” heel, side-lacing, 3 pairs of ribbon (black, purple, and red), and an oversized fold-over cuff. Whether you are a sail-hoisting siren on a high-seas adventure, or a dastardly damsel on her way to dance the Hempen Jig, these boots add a plank-worthy finishing touch!

I bought these boots to go with the Captain Swashbuckler costume. They look really great with the outfit, especially with the red ribbons. I wore the outfit to work the day before Halloween. I work in an office environment, so I get to sit most of the day. I did a fair share of standing/walking around during the morning as we were all mingling and taking pictures of all the costumes. 2.5 hours into the work day, I was in serious pain. Luckily, I could easily slip these off while I was sitting at my desk. I cannot imagine wearing these for 4+ hours straight if you're going to be on your feet the whole time. Then again, maybe I'm just a wimp when it comes to footwear. I'm still glad I bought them. My costume would not have been nearly as great as it was without these boots. Just don't expect miracles in terms of comfort. I normally wear 8-8.5, and I bought the boots in a 9. In terms of sizing, they fit great. Someone else mentioned that the boots tend to slouch a bit. I did find this to be the case, but I think that's part of the style for pirate boots and I didn't have a problem with it. It was just a slight slouch. It wasn't like they were sliding down my legs.

These boots are very cute and its nice that they have interchangeable ribbons so I can match them to my outfits. They where easy to get on and off. However after wearing them for a while they did start to slouch. But I'm pretty sure thats how pirate boots are suppose to look so it wasnt that bad. They did not fall to my ankles. They where also comfortable which is very important to me.
