I purchased the boot toppers for my son to wear with a George Washington costume. We used the colonial shoe buckles with it and it worked great. The elastic that goes under the shoe tore easily, but other than that they worked great and stayed in place.

I ordered this for my son's Blackbeard costume. They really looked good on him. The straps that go around the shoe stayed on but the edges of the boot cover were completely torn by the end of the night. However, they can still be used again. This is a good find for any costume..just wish the price had been a little cheaper.

Kids were wearing and they were a hit with the costume AND made George Washington much more authentic without being clunky and heavy. They are lightweight and just look cute.

Great buy Great Solution

This is a super way to avoid having to purchase actual boots for a costume. My son LOVED them. The only problem with them is that walking the elastic straps with shoes for a long period of time does cause some wear. I really had to limit how much he could wear them (he wanted to wear them all the time) so that they would last for Halloween.

Look great and work good but do not have them wear them for long periods of time or they will start to slip off.But my kids love them
