Great costume, quality materials - not cheesy like you find in some halloween brick and mortar stores. I can see this costume being used for many years. Got lots of compliments on it when I wore it to a pirate party!

Perfect fit. Really does expand and I could have gone with a size smaller. A bonus is that I found I could wear the vest without the white top. Vamp it up a bit if you are going to an adult only party.

Pirate wench costume

This costume is good and the sizing is forgiving. I am a size 16 on top and 14 on the bottom so the lace up bodice and elastic waste work great.

Cuter than the picture

I bought this costume a couple of years ago and I loved it! I'm 5'3" and a size 16-18, and this fit very well, and could be adjusted to go even larger. It's made of fairly decent quality. I've worn this multiple times and have yet to find a tear anywhere in the fabric. The skirt has an elastic waste, so it will fit a wide array of sizes. You can't see in the picture, but the vest laces in both the front and the back, and with the laces provided, it's way too small. It's an easy fix though. I just tied some more brown laces on, and it was a cinch to adjust the vest to the size I needed. :) As you can see in the picture, I used a different, shinier top to go underneath the vest, just as a personal preference. All in all, this is a cute pirate costume that's not too revealing, and is way cuter than the picture here would indicate! :)

The costume itself was of good quality - but the vest was in no way a "plus size" vest. I am the smallest size that this costume was supposed to fit. I had to purchase different strings to lace it up - and it did not look good because it was gapped for far. I think they may have sent a smaller size vest with the rest of the costume...because the rest of it was plenty large.
