Wow, I was embarrassed by how much money this cost based on the poor quality of it. The jacket looked terrible, the hat was impossible to get looking decent and the beard would only stay on with spirit gum, the strap was useless. Worst pirate outfit ever, I felt embarrassed for my husband. He was very disappointed.

I cant agree more with the previous review. The "jacket" is little more than a plastic scarf. And the hat was a crumpled mess. i have no idea how anyone could figure out how to get it back in shape to wear. The whole experience reminded me of those plastic supermarket costumes I got when i was a kid.

The belt and strap are chintzy but reasonably OK. The jacket is just sad, it's like wearing printed plastic with very little shape to it. The hat was so crammed and deformed in the package that I still haven't been able to figure out how to salvage it so that it looks anything like an actual hat. Perhaps I should have had lower expectations, since this is the first time I've purchased one of these store-bought costumes in a bag... but even with lower expectations I think I still would have been disappointed.

This is a great costume and lots of fun! Love the coat and hat, but the belt and shoulder staps are held together by tiny velcro dots and fall off all the time. I need to sew on some decent velcro pieces, especially for the belt. Hubby is happy!
