I was a bit afraid of ordering this costume considering the pretty bad reviews on it. It turned out that yes it is not made of the best material and the belt buckles probably wont last very long but I find most costumes made of the same materials and come in the same condition. But most important, my daughter has been dreaming of getting a Jack sparrow costume for some time now and I am sure that she will be thrilled and will find it is perfect when she gets it on her birthday.

Absolutely flipping great! Can't get my 7 year old out of it. Really good outfit, love the fact the coat is separate so he can wear with or without, top outfit, I'm in the UK and delivery was fast and well packed. Thanks very much

I bought this costume for my 6 year old son, considering the price it was a mess... shirt was too short pants fell down, belts were huge & worst of all the braided wig was blonde not dark brown as it should be. I had to make adjustments like cut & re-sew the belts to fit properly, I sewed snaps to the shirt to prevent the pants from falling & the shirt from riding up & I went out & bought a new wig & hat. In the end he looked great but considering the price tag the costume should have been better made or less expensive.

I just purchased this costume for my 7 yr old son and was so disappointed. I should have listened to the bad reviews from Costume Express customers but the reviews on this site were great. The costume is cheaply made for the $64.99 I paid for it. The hat was so bent up that I could not reshape it. The hair piece on the bandana looks nothing like in the picture, very flimsy orange brown color(AND NO BEADS!). The belts are attached to the costume which I really didn't mind but they are a very thin plastic that looks like they would break easily if my son wore the costume for play before Halloween. I feel bad because my son doesn't know better and thought it was the best costume ever, but it also runs small and shirt did not fit him. So keeping it was definitely not an option. I ended up returning the costume but keeping all the extra accessories that completed the look and purchasing the Elite Pirate Scoundrel costume. Return process and new purchase went smooth. Even got an extra 20% off the new more expensive costume. He looks like an awesome cleaned up Jack Sparrow. Happy Ending.:)

This was a fun lil costume. It was much too small for the grandson I purchased it for, but my 5 year old grandson fits it perfectly and loves it. It runs small a 12-14 fits my 6x sized child. (with extra room in the overcoat; It will fit great over his jacket.
