Granted, my lil' guy is big, but not that much bigger than his classmates and friends who are 8, 9, and 10 yrs... so I ordered the teen-sized pirate to ensure it would fit and perhaps last longer than just this Halloween. Had to return it ;-( He was in tears when the box came - he so wanted to do the pirate thing as that's his school's new mascot. But, we're opting for an adult-sized Star Wars Trooper and praying that one fits.

I doubled checked the size, actually a few times before I ordered, I was prepared to do some alterations as I expected the costume to arrive a little big...but it arrived VERY small! The quality is cheap the sewing is untidy, really rushed! But the biggest disappointment is the size. I have to do major adjustments before my son can fit into it. My son is very thin, and small for his age but this costume is not sized right! The Jacket is a full size or 2 too small on the shoulders, the shirt is so short it does not cover his belly button. The one boot cover is too small to fit over his foot where as the other fits perfect. The pants are quite big I have to take them in a little. The hair on the bandana was so knotted I had to redo it completely. Its such a pity as I purchased the same costume for my husband and all fitted and the hair was also great but this kids costumes was a total disappointment.
