A not too loud peacock costume I purchased, that looked FABULOUS on my friend for my Masquerade Birthday Ball. I begged her to wear it as I desired a peacock at the party. It fit her well as you can see in the pics and also fit me well. The gathered material makes for a great piece on different body shapes & sizes. The shoulder straps are FAR more beautiful than you can see in the model pic. Well sewn. The head piece which is a little cheesy was not used. Instead a mask I made her, to go with the masquerade. The downfall is the tail feathers. They are a curled, hard to flatten mess. I used bottles to weight them down on the floor for days to manage them to little avail. I only got some of the curl out. My friend said they were annoying as all get out making her way around people at a busy event. Even with the flip up which can work as a flared up peacock look, you unfrtunately see the white boning that shapes them. I am still baffled by the design of these tail feathers. I am still very glad she wore the outfit for me and I look forward to creatively working with it and wearing it myself someday soon. Size 8-10 purchased. Beautiful detailing

This costume is very beautiful in person, the picture Does not do it justice! The sleeves have beautiful Detailing and the dress was extremely comfortable. The feathered tail and head piece made the costume Complete :) I added a home made mask for extra blind ;)

much to big!

Just received this costume and was very disappointed to find that it is huge!! I am not a small girl, 170lbs and 5'7', so I was worried that the large would be too small, I was mistaken. This costume is to big to even wear. I will eaither have to spend more money to have it altered, or not wear it at all. As for the costume itself, the material is fine, as previously meantioned, the feathers are a pain, it could use a little work, but would be fine if not so big!! I recommend you buy this costume one size smaller then you normally wear.

Not like the picture

It's not like the picture entirely. The aqua part of dress and headband look the same as shown but the feathers on the back are a mess! The product image makes the feathers look very straight, as if they flow with the dress and are down low on the back but they're actually wired and curled. It took us 30 minutes alone to try and straighten them with only 50% success. My daughter still looked like she had a camel's hump halfway up her back.

Pretty costume...but relatively cheap

One of the only costume I found that fits true to size! I am 170lbs 38"-33"-44" and it fits perfect(with some room in the waist to spare) It is made relatively cheap...after all it is a Halloween costume. The back has cheap Velcro at the top back part. "Tail feathers" have to be Velcro'd to back and they pull in the back material(which is thin and not the same as the front material.) Overall the costume was fun and flirty. It needed to be ironed a lot to not wrinkle. and with some tweaks it could fit really well. I would recommend this to anyone for a fun unique costume! I wish the price were a little cheaper, but overall nice costume!!!
