Great - fits little tight on top

For the price, this is a great witch costume. I might not win any creativity awards but it's clearly a fun witch costume and it's not innappropriate for a 40-year old. I am a size 10 with broad shoulders and narrow hips. I found the fit to be a little tight on top and in the arms but just right and skimming the waist and hips. I could see this fitting a pear-shaped size 12 but not a 14 as the size range suggests. The hat fit too - it might not stay on if it was windy but it will rest nicely on my head. I agree with other reviewers that the material is thicker than expected - a nice quality and not see through at all. I would recommend this costume.

Perfect for a Child Friendly Event!

I'm attending an event at Disney and needed something that wouldnt have me exposing my body to children. So I bought this in a Small (Im a medium) and will have the length adjusted so that I can wear this with Jeans. It's a different take on this costume but still looks very cute. The sleeves make it fun and I also upgraded the Witch hat to finish up my look. I can also take this to Work and School Events and not have to worry about my bust. This is one of the few costumes that looks decent and is a better quality than others that I've purchased. For creative Moms this is a great start! There is so much that you can do with it. :)

i am never happy with halloween costume because they are never true to size and are always overpriced - as far as i am concerned. my daughter on the other hand loved the costume. she normally wears a girls 12, so i had to get this size to make the difference. this of course was one of the few "appropriate" cosumes in an adult size that i could get for my young daughgter. so ultimately i was happy because she was happy.

Good, simple costume

I was nervous about buying this since it was a new costume for 2009 and there were no reviews at the time of my purchase but since I needed a simple, work-appropriate costume, I decided to try it out. I'm glad I did. One of my worries was that it would be longer on me than the model who is pictured, but even though I am only 5'2, it looks just like it did on her on me. The material is what I expected, the normal for this type of costume, it may actually be a little thicker than what you'd normally buy which is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 3 on price. As for fun....nothing special. I was going to wear it with black tights but I found some orange and black striped tights and it looks tons better. I also purchased the witch hat headband from this site and its really cute. I knew I wouldn't like the hat that comes with this costume, and I am glad I went with my instinct because the hat won't even go over my head! But all in all I would recommend this!
