I have to say I was less than thrilled when first receiving this. The crown was cheap and tacky. I ended up making my own, which turned out really cute. The wings used cheap white elastic which other reviewers have also complained about. I replaced them with black chenille pipe cleaner. That also worked extremely well. The leg warmers were better on the arms. They were ok, but had loose threads and were differently sized by a little bit. I also bought the diamond weave panty hose from this site which worked out really well. The dress was decent. I wouldn't rave about it like some of the other reviewers, considering how much it cost, but it did well enough. One thing in its favor is that the halter and bodice were sturdier than I would have thought. Overall B-

THE GOOD: 1.) Buycostumes had this costume cheaper than any local Halloween store. I tried it on in a store but ordered online from buycostumes. 2.) I had a baby recently and I still have a slight belly so I wanted a costume that would hide it as much as possible. This costume was PERFECT! The material is nice and thick and slimming. It pulls you in unlike other bee costumes I had tried on. THE BAD: 1.)Was a bit short for my taste so I simply paired it with black capris. * In case you're wondering how short it was, I'm 5'3" and it seemed to barely cover my bottom. For a club outing short would've worked =) but I was trick or treating with my daughter. 2.) The collar doesn't stay up. The other reviews were right. But that didn't really matter to me. OVERALL: I was very happy with my purchase!! and received alot of compliments on it. See my picture...my daughter's costume is also from buycostumes...the Spring Flower.

The reason why i chose this costume was because of the leg warmers! They kept my legs nice and warm since I live in Alaska! the wings on the costume were a bit floppy but they were still cute!

I wore this costume to a Halloween party and it was a hit! I received so many complements. It was very comfortable and held up really well, even in the rain. It was a really cold night, so I wore thick tights, thermal pants, and a pair of tight fitting black pants, as well as a black long sleeve shirt under the costume. I'm 5'5" and weigh 125. I bought the S/M size and it fit perfectly. There is a zipper in the back that makes it super easy to put on. The collar stayed up perfectly for me. I wore the leg warmers on my arms to keep them warm. I added long black feather eye lashes and a wig to add to my disguise. I also put yellow electrical tape on my black shoes for the perfect touch. The honey purse is very small and doesn't hold anything more than my iPhone, but it was a cute addition. This costume held up so well that I will probably be Queen Bee for several years to come! Well worth the money in my opinion!

There were some things that I liked and did not like about this particular costume. I’m 5’5”, about 125 lbs, wear a 34/B-cup bra size, and size 5 in blue jeans. I ordered the small/medium just to be on the safe side. Fortunately, it turned out that the body portion of the costume piece seemed to fit the way I wanted for it to bc I was a bit hesitant about ordering anything online with having the chance to first try it on. The costume piece itself had the attached collar piece that fits like a halter as a part of the dress; therefore I was able to wear a versatile bra underneath for support w/halter top straps. While it seemed to run fairly short, a pair of black ruffled bloomers underneath made the costume appear adorable & cute from the backside. The crown piece that came along with it also made for a delightful look. A few of the things I didn’t like about this costume was that the collar piece didn’t stay flared-out the way it should without having to hold it away from my face and the wing piece was very uncomfortable to wear with the elastic loops that go around your arms. The wing piece also didn’t stay in place the way I wanted for it to; it either stayed flapped together or moved in opened & closed movements. It was just too much of a hindrance & uncomfortable for me to wear. Other than that, the overall piece of the costume seemed to fit my body type fairly well since I have an hour glass figure that made it look sexy. But if you don’t have that kiind of body type, the costume itself could appear frumpy & childlike, or maybe I’m just a believer in that if you want a costume to appear sexy, you yourself would have to be sexy. It’s definitely a costume that one would have to try on and see how it would appear on rather than relying on the look from the photographed model. With some cute heels/pumps, I believe that this costume is a great choice that's both cute & sexy for the right person who can make it work!
