Title: Beautiful colors

As a music teacher I was giving the Nutcracker and used this costume for the Arabian dance. The fifth graders loved all the colors and they looked beautiful in all the scarves around the waist. Our only problem was that the girls were a bit short so the scarves touched the floor, but that was good, because it covered the legs and helped them be less self conscious. I was very pleased with this costume for my 10 year olds.

Title: Great looking, just needs some help

The pants have an elastic waist, however, you'd never know it unless you removed the gold trim that is sewn over it--preventing it from stretching. The waist is "stuck" and will not give. I removed the trim, and then my kid could put her legs in. My daughter is very tall for her age (five years old in this photo), but the pants were still about eight inches too long, cut them off and re-hemmed the pant legs. That problem was solved. Then I added a coin belt and some coins on the top for a finishing touch. Lastly, I used the headband as a ponytail holder, and put the fabric around front like a veil. Whew! More work than I wanted for a bought costume, but she looked great in the end, was the best costume at school this year. Photo attached.
