Great Fabric!!! I purchased this costume for this upcoming Halloween- 2011...It's a Plus Size which I am not but I couldn't resist it since it was on Clearance for $30 with shipping.....Nothing a needle and thread cannot fix!

When I received the costume I was delighted that it looked much nicer and more expensive than in the picture. I'm a size 16 and it is a little bit loose, but it's very comfortable. I may hem the bottom, because I'm pretty short and it drags a little. Overall though it's gorgeous and I'm looking forward to wearing it.

Love it!!! It fits perfect. I'm 5'7", a size 18, broad shoulders, c-cup. It is a little on the long side, but with a pair of heels it won't be dragging on the ground. I also got the Renaissance Nobelman for my husband & the burgandy velvet is a perfect match.

Beautiful but big

I ordered this costume at the last minute because my son was begging me to dress up too and was impressed that it got here in two days with only four days left before I needed it. The quality of the costume is very good with nice material and good stitching. I was concerned the white satiny material would be transparent but it was not. The only issue I had with the costume was the size. It said it was for sizes 16 - 22 and I wear a 16 (although some larger cut 14's will fit). Since I wore the lowest size listed I expected the costume to be big and baggy on me - I did not however expect it to be so big that I couldn't keep it on. With only two days left before Halloween I had to get creative and take the dress in 8 inches!! The one thing I will say though is that the material was heavy enough and nice enough that I was able to make the alterations without any problems and it looked great and I got a ton of compliments on it. Definitely a beautiful and fun costume to wear but if you are on the smaller end of the sizes listed then I would go for something else or expect to have to make alterations.

a good base...and BIG

at 5'10" and a 44" bust, I find myself too big for normal size costumes but on the small side for plus-size, and this was no exception. VERY generous with loads of stretch and the white insert doesn't sit as per pic unless you have GIANT boobs...apparently 44" doesn't qualify?!?! It is a great base dress to build a few personal touches on though...I changed the cheap gold braid for a gorgeous burgundy and grey embroidered period style braid and sewed an ornamental jewel at the bust and it looked the business for a Mad Medieval event!
