Product is smaller than advirtised
I am a big girl and I know this...however when I ordered the above item I looked at the sizing chart and I fit within the weight specifications without problem. I was most impressed with the speedy shipping at the warehouse level but was getting concerned about the shipping time with the courier..however, I did recieve my costume with days to spare (wearing it this Saturday...at least I was).
I looked in the package and was happy and impressed with the costume itself, except for the straps. I thought they would attached to either each other or the dress but you have to tie them up and as they are thick PVC I'm not sure how they would hold.
But ok, I went to try it on. This is where it got bad.
I undid the zipper, and tried to pull it up....with a few tuggs here and there I heard the most dreaded of sounds of Rrrrrrippp. Yes, the dress ripped at the zipper, which I can't even do up now.
So now that it is ripped, and put it over my head to see if it would have ever fit me and there is not a chance. It looked awful and there was no way I'd have ever done the zipper up anyway.
The package says this is upto 275 pounds. I do not weigh this and yes that means I weigh less and there was no way. My street clothes are a 2X (and usually loose) and this was 2X/3X...that and with the weight requirments I thought I was good.
As I live in Canada, I have the exchange rate and a higher shipping rate. This dress cost me $85 (Cdn) by the time the dust settled and if I were to return it, (if the zipper didn't rip) I'd have to fork out the extra shipping and lose the shipping I'd already paid for.
As the zipper ripped, it is now damaged and thus not applicable for return. So basically I just flushed $85 down the toliet and have a party on Saturday with no costume.
When ordering...think BIGGER!!! I loved the dress, now only if it would fit. If the zipper hadn't ripped and this fit true to packaging I would have rated this as good (depending on how well the strap tied up).
