I have tried on 5 different Renaissance dresses, and this is one is pretty great. The fabric is very nice, and the gold and purple coloring is pretty. It's not a 'peasant' dress - probably more like a middle-to-upper-class dress, yet still 'fun' because of the slightly low neckline to make it a little sexy. It is the best-fitting Renaissance dress (from 40-80 dollars) that I've tried on. Very comfortable! The only slight problem is that the dark purple mid-piece is somewhat difficult to lace up in a way that looks correct.

This is truly a beautiful dress. I t fit well and was comfortable. I think it is very appropriate for a renaissance festival or a costume party. The material was really nice and the colours were very pretty,
