My son loved this costume and it fit him great. It was also different from all of the other pirate costumes out there. The legs however are very thin and ripped after a short time of him playing in it. I had time to sew it (luckily) but it won't hold up to be used again. He also had to wear long johns underneath to stay warm.

Costume is very cute however after 2 hours of wear the legs need to be resewn together or need a patch. VERY disappointing as I was hoping/expecting it to last through three boys! Am probably going to return it if I can send it back without my son noticing.

I ordered this for my grandson who loves to play pirates or knights. This costume was unique in design and color and I think will be very cute on him. He turns six in just a few months and he is considered below average in size so my feeling is that this costume is better suited for 4/5 as opposed to 4/6. I think it will fit it at least through the Halloween period this year but not much beyong. The costume is really cute.

The look of this pirate costume is eye-catching and it's a lot more interesting than other pirate costumes I've seen. The downsides are the elastic tapered pants legs which made my toddler (3T) son very uncomfortable due to their tightness. My son is tall for his age and leanly muscled so the elastics really bothered him. Also, there was a missing velcro piece from the back of the shirt in the costume we received so that the shirt wouldn't stay closed! We ended up using medical tape to tape the back closed so that it wouldn't be gaping open in the cold. Overall, the costume was cute but not too sturdily made nor was it all that comfortable.

Recommend you order a size larger. The buckle on the sash is a flexible plastic and did not hold up to the abuse of my 2 year old. Otherwise great quality and very cute!
