The Roman empress dress is a wonderful costume. I got many compliments and was surprised by the quality of the fabric. I am 5'1 and 145 pounds so it is not easy finding a costume that compliments my figure. This dress definitely does the trick. The price was amazing and I also appreciate the coupon offered as well as the 2 day free shipping. The only things that could be improved are maybe a zipper to allow easier access into the dress., kind of tight trying to pull it over your chest area and it runs small. I ordered the 10-12 size and it was more a 10 than 12 . I would order a size up. Also the arm bands needed adjusting because they would slid down my arm, other than that I was very happy.

Wow! What a nicely designed, beautiful costume! I didn't have to change a thing. I'm 6' tall, weigh about 175, and have a 36DD chest, and XL fit me perfectly. The detailing of this costume is fabulous, with gold satin trim along the bottom of the deep burgundy sash, gold coin accents at the shoulders, and cool armbands. I felt so elegant in this costume....loved it!

Was really happy with this purchase. My boyfriend and I ordered matching togas for a Halloween/birthday party. This outfit is pretty much as you see in the photo. I did end up having to do a few minor adjustments but overall very happy. The armbands were very large and had to sew them much smaller to fit. Also the medallions on the shoulders were sent with safety pins to pin on but they wouldn't go through the fabric so ended up sewing them on as well. The shoulder straps were a little wide for my liking so I also adjusted those to be a bit thinner. Otherwise the length was great (I'm 5'7)and could wear with or without heels. My only "complaint" is the burgundy drape that goes around back and over your arm. It tends to get in the way and its a little too long to just leave draping down the back. Maybe next time I will try to shorten it or some sort of adjustment because it does tend to become a bit of a pain when you always have to carry it over your arm..and yes there will be a next time when I wear this outfit!

I loved this costume. It is not excellent quality but at around $40 I wouldn't have expected any different. The white is a bit see through so you need to think about that when choosing underwear (there is only a small section at the front/side that is visible white material). I think that it is true to size - but be careful as there is no zip so it has to go over your head and there is no give in the waistband. I am 5'7" and the length was perfect. Overall this costume met all my expectations, looked great and was fun to wear. I wish I had another party coming up to wear it to.

It's a great costume, but I noticed that mine had what I assume is a grease stain. The stain was in the front and back, but luckily the red flap covers it in the front and the back of the costume is the dark red so it's not very noticable. Other that that, fits great. I'm a size 8-10, 36 D, 5'6"and after reading the other reviews decided to get a large. The dress is to my ankles, with strappy gladiator heels, it's very sexy without being obvious about trying to be sexy :) Get the costume, you won't regret it!
