This was a great costume, but beware. It has about 12 pieces or more and 9 of them have to be tied on. I had my wife make me a cape to cover up all the ties in the back. It workout great and looks nice, but just takes a lot of time to put on.

The costume is rather intricate with sooo many pieces. It would be very helpful if instructions on what goes where and how would be included. Otherwise, it's a cool costume...one that not many people have!

cheap looking costume

This costume looks a lot better in the photo than in reality. It is made of super cheap thin plastic, and the gold accent color as shown is barely visible. Each piece of flimsy plastic has a bunch of strings to tie it on with, which is hard to figure out, and not very comfortable. The undersuit fabric probably cost one cent per yard. The helmet arrived cracked. Luckily we have the skill to add onto the "armor" and helmet, attach elastic straps and generally customize and make them sturdier and better looking. But I do not recommend this cheesy samurai costume, especially for the price. Sad Samurai made in China.

The paint job on this was non-existant. I redid the highlights by hand with liquid gold leaf and it looked pretty good. Would not recommend this for anyone over 5'8" & ~175. I'm 6' 225lbs and it looked too small. The shirt sucked, wore a plain black long-sleeve shirt. Wore to a dance club and spent 1/2 the night pulling up the arm & leg sections since they just tie on. I got the whole costume - sword, wig, mustash, etc.

Bought this for my high school senior son. 6'2" and 190 lbs. Hit of the party. Very realistic-looking armour. Lots of quality pieces in this costume. The girls loved it! Very masculine costume, and great for muscular guys.
