After not finding another sailor costume that fit our needs, I purchased this teen costume in a size 1-3 for my 10-year-old daughter who typically wears a size 12. It fit "OK." It was definitely too long and I had to pin it at the shoulders to keep it from dropping too low in the front. It was also very slender cut - very body hugging. The fabric used is that typical thin, nylon fabric used in most costumes, so my daughter wore a long white slip underneath to smooth things out. Regardless of our size issues, the costume was very cute and I appreciated the non-sexy but still fun option.

If you want to wear a body suit under it, that might make this ok but it is see through and not appropriate for teenagers - I had to return it due to the material. Hat would need a iron and starch to make it look like the photo, and you need a small head too.

I bought this for my 10 year old to wear. This is a hard age to buy for and this costume was clean cut enough for her to wear out and yet still like a teenager's costume. It didn't itch, was well put together and great priced. I would definitly recommend this to anyone!

I got this costume for my daughter, and she looked SO great for Halloween. It was a little above average costume quality, and cute +++ I would definitely recommend this costume.

This product was certainly shorter than it looked in the picture. I would not allow my high school freshman to wear it to school for costume day because of this. Someone needs to manufacture costumes that are far less revealing for the young teen female segment of the population.
