Great Costume

I purchased this costume for Halloween and it worked out perfectly. Wasn't sure on showing my midriff but nothing a black tank couldn't cover up(and looked apart of the costume!!!) I tacked on a piece of wire around the cap to give it more shape as well as a huge feather and it turned out perfect!! Everyone loved the Mrs. Captain Morgain idea and even won a prize!!

Only missing an eye patch

This costume is fantastic! For the price, you can't beat all the fun stuff it includes. I didn't get to wear it this Halloween, but I kept it anyway for future good times. I don't have a very long torso, so there wasn't any midriff to worry about (which is forbidden at my work, so in this case, a good thing). My only complaint was the material was rather itchy. Not sure if that would have subsided by washing it first??? The hat and boot covers and belt and bodice are all lovely complments to the outfit. Add some fishnet stockings, as another review suggested, to complete this outfit. That's all you'll need. And oh yeah, maybe an eye patch! Arrrgh!

Great Costume

I waited til the last minute to order a costume for a party we were going to. Not only did I receive my costume in 2 working days as promised, but it fit to a tee. Everyone loved my costume at the party, and my date went as Jack Sparo so we really looked sharp. I had to tack down the sleeves so they would stand up, but that was not a big deal. I added fish net stockings to my costume, and had wanted to get real high black boots instead of the boot covers, but I was unable to find a pair in time, so I used the boot covers, and placed rubber bands on the inner top of my legs so they woul stay. It ended up looking like a real pair of boots. The price on this outfit including shipping was much less then I would of spent in a local costume store.. I would recommend this costumes, and will definatly order my next years costume from Buycostumes .

Wowed everyone!!

I loved this costume!!! I went as Mrs. Captain Morgan, and everyone knew it before I even had to explain. My one and only concern for this costume was the condition of the hat. It was a little floppy but it didnt ruin my night!! Its been almost a year since i wore this costume and people are still raving about it!!!

A wee bit disappointed

The sizing is a bit off on this one. There are only 2 sizes available. It is PLENTY roomy, should you be a 10 and you order the Medium/Large. The top does not fit as it does the model, in that, it is not "cropped" and tucked just under the bust. It actually met the skirt at my waist. I am 5' 6" and weigh 135. Should I have gone smaller, however, the skirt would have really been a mini and the top may have been too snug! The boot covers do fit like socks so I suggest starching the tops as they are just a thin material. The cuffs on the tunic hang down as they are only tacked in one spot. I suggest taking a stitch or two to make them stand up correctly. The hat was damaged but I will try to revive it. Skirt is great and fits well. All in all a good costume.
