I was a little hesitant to buy this item due to the fact that no one had reviewed this product yet. First let me say, I was super excited to surprise my mom with this snow machine. Here in northern California...we only get snow about every 7-10 years (that is not exact, but we only usually get an inch or two when it does happen). The last time it snowed was in Jan 2002 I believe. I wanted to create a winter wonderland for my mom as the economy is bad and Christmas money is tight this year for almost everyone. I got the package, opened the box, assembled the machine, put in the snow fluid, plugged it in and flipped the long corded switch. Snow was flying everywhere! It says not for outdoor use, but I used it outside with no problems. Just don't let it get wet, don't leave it outside if it is really snowing or raining. I didn't want snow inside the house. What does the snow look like? When it’s spraying, it looks like snow is flying through the air. As it hits the ground/bushes etc, it looks like fluffs of snow and hail. After a bit, the snow starts to look like suds...sort of like bubble bath bubbles. It still is fun, we were all excited. My one year old niece loved it falling above her head. The only downside is not enough snow liquid!! I covered the front of the house and it used a bottle and a half of snow liquid. The liquid does go fast, so if you want to enjoy it for a while; you are going to need several bottles of liquid. I hear there is a way to make the snow liquid at home for cheap, not sure if I want to try that or not. We plan to use it a few times and especially on Christmas, at least to pretend we are having a white Christmas! Oh I almost forgot, the snow does dissolve over time, after a few hours, or you can hose the snow fluff off. Just keep the snow off any slippery surfaces. Happy Holidays!
