Husband used this green light saber to be different from sons blue one. Has a simple latch on top to keep it from falling out. Slightly weak material, so he was not able to "fight" - great perk for mom. We got many compliments on it!

I purhased my 3 year old this green light saber to go with his Yoda Halloween costume. I wasn't expecting a lot since the price was so low at $8 but I did hope it would be a little better quality than what it was. He dropped it on our kitchen floor and the end broke that held in the batteries. Thankfullly his daddy is a handy guy and he was able to super glue it back to working conditions. It also wasn't really bright, so in the house during the daytime he kept wanting to put new batteries in it becaue he thought it wasn't working. It was but since the light was so dim he couldn't tell. Overall, as a 3 year old he was pretty happy with it in the end.

I read all the reviews (mostly negative) before purchasing this toy to complete my sons costume (in all honesty I think the only reason he wanted to be a Jedi was so he could get the light saber!) So I had very little expectations of the product. I wouldn't let him play with it at all until Halloween night. I was worried for nothing. He loves flicking his wrist to make the telescopic pieces expand out into the light saber. It lit up fine all Halloween night (the next morning the light stopped working but no big deal) No pieces have fallen off and my kid has been swinging it around constantly. I've certainly spent 10$ on lesser quality items in the past. I am not dissapointed with this purchase.

The length of the sabor is great. however my husband took it out of the package and some how between that and turning it on. It broke. It would not turn on with out us banging it on something. it was a big disappointment actually.
