Fun to wear; after alterations
First I'd like to say that the Customer Service I received (from Heidi) was Excellent! She was able to get my order shipped overnight; just in time for some alterations and my New Years Eve party. With customer service like this, I'm definitely going to return again. As for the costume, the quality was Excellent. Nicely made and though a bit pricy, still worth it. As for True to Size, I am hesitant. I am a size 18. And the Plus size guide states this costume would fit 16-22. I just don't see that happening. Let me explain... Depending on the fabric, I can fit into XL pants. However, this material and the fact that there wasn't much length in the waste, made it difficult for the pants to even cover my rear. If you're able to sew, you can invest in a pair of workout pants (I purchased mine from Target); cut off the bell bottoms and sew them onto the black pair of stretch pants. Had I not been this creative, I would not have been able to wear the pants. The gold halter top fit fine. Though, It did ride up a little, around the waist. I tend to run XL in tops and anyone larger, might not be able to wear this. The jacket was very comfortable. BUT the gold belt that comes with this would probably only fit someone with a waste smaller than 38. I ended up cutting the belt and sewing it to the sides of the jacket in order to be able to wear it. The Hat fit! That's remarkable because I have a large head. All in all, I was grateful to be able to sew and revise the costume.
