  • This was purchased for a production of Sherlock Holmes. The quality is good and it is lined and will look good on stage. It is also a "large" medium which is good. The fabric pattern of the hat that accompanies the inverness is very different from the inverness; however, that is not why the hat cannot be used. The hat is snug on a 22-inch circumference head. Our actor has a 24-inch circumference so a hat had to be specially made for him.

  • A true clasic

This is by far the best Sherlock Holmes jacket and hat I have owned. It is a true classic, and it is similar to Basil Rathbone's Sherlock Holmes from the late 1930's to early 1940's. I get complements on it where ever I go and I have already had people wanting pictures of me and with me; even though I just received it on Fri June 11 2010. This Sherlock jacket has no connection to a costume, what I mean is that it resembles the real thing and not some cheap costume; and for the price that this product is going for, MAN WHAT A STEAL!!! I defiantly recommend this Sherlock Holmes jacket with matching hat to everyone who wants to do Sherlock right.

  • Received many compliments

Costume is very high quality. Many believed it was one of my old topcoats I gave my son to wear.

  • What I Hoped For

People didn’t think this was a 'costume', but wondered where I got a coat like Sherlock’s! I received many compliments. This lined costume feels great: it has body. If you want the distinguished look of the great detective, I recommend this. (Note: the magnifier in the picture was my own.)
