usually i'm a lot more evil for halloween, but this year i was theming with my daughter- she was Dorothy! and it was her 1st Halloween! overall the dress was complimented upon numerously "you are soooo pretty!" they would say, " are you a princess?" "wow she's getting married!" it was funny because a few identified with glinda the good witch, others thought i was just married and looked fabulous- it was insane. the crown is not worth wearing- it's extremely unflattering, i replaced it with Claire's (beauty supply in any mall) feathery pink crown and alo bought a pink and crystal heart jeweled wand. (these accessories were about $8-$10.) i'm 5'2 so wearing tennis shoes were comforting, but going up and down stairs i had to raise my dress a bit to avoid tripping. glitter leaves it's trace everywhere, but is easy to dust off or vaccuum up. i don't know if theres a way to prevent this ONLY MAJOR ISSUE: ITCHY SKIN AND BREAKOUTS! the forearm area and lower back and maybe to the top crack of your behind may welt up and you could feel like your skin is burning! i don't wear dresses often and didn't have a slip so, GET ONE!! other than that, beautiful well made dress!!! BELLE OF THE BALL!

What the picture shows is not what arrived. The dress is actually better than what is in the picture, but, the crown was horrible! It was a flimsy rubber material that would NOT stay upright. It looked more like a jester's hat, than a crown. I was very disappointed after spending so much on my costume! I would say I'm a size 8, but, this dress is more like a size 10/12. It was super long and too large around the middle. I think it would have been ok if I had time to alter it to fit correctly. Like I said, the dress actually impressed me compared to the crown!
The dress is very pretty. I got so many compliments. It was fun to wear if you like poofy dresses. There are two issues I have with this dress. First, the collar was very tight. I could not zip it all the way without it choking me and it left a red burn on my neck. I'm a size 5 and there is no way this dress could fit a size 12. It was not overly big on me. The second problem I had was the seams around the shoulders, arms and down the side of the arms. By about mid-day, I was rubbed raw. Having the seams sewn with just the netting was a very bad idea. I'm not sure if it was because it was big on me or not. It was still fun to wear.

We chose this dress for our 10 year old daughter who is taller than most children, so we knew the child's large would not fit. The adult size said one size fits all so we figured, if they expect it to fit any size adult, it should have no problem fitting her. We assumed we would have to alter it to fit to make it smaller for both height and girth. Also, as most one size fits all, we assumed it would be of a stretchy material. When it arrived we were surprised to find that it was not only a fitted material, but the only way it would fit an adult was if that adult was no larger than a size 5 or 6. It did not fit and we ended up retuning it. So unless you are a tall, skinny adult, don't bother to buy this costume.

I used this product for a school book character parade recently. The children (K-5thgrade) were all amazed at my transformation and thought I truly fit the part of the Fairy God Mother. Add a bit of glitter to your eyes and cheeks, wear heels (I wore white ballet slippers) and carry your wand and your audience will all say you are beautiful! For an added effect I mixed some pink glitter with some baby powder and put into a small purse and told the children they could their eyes and make a wish, and then I lightly sprinkled some magic fairy dust over them. They loved it!!!
