This is just a poorly made costume. The gold leaf belt in the middle poofs out and makes the wearer look large around the middle. The material is flimsy and it hangs and pulls funny. I wouldn't recommend buying this and trying to alter it. Not worth it! Try some other Roman/Goddess costumes first. You'll be glad you did.

Almost disappointed

I purchased the junior size because I am a petite 5'1 120 lbs 24yr-old woman. Even then, the costume seemed too long from the bottom. The stitching seems to be off as in, uneven from where the skirt turn into the "cape". Also, the material is very see through and I am big busted as well so this size was too small for my bust. However, this is the costume i want to wear this year, so alterations to my body have to be done.

i'm 5'1 and size 0/extrasmall and this costume fits me, despise that it is for misses 7-9, but there it stretch so i think it is okay if you are bigger. the material wasnt so great as i expected, cheaply done sewing. the front part, where the gold lining , it is plastic, like waterproof?. i wish that the gold leaves lining across the front wasnt there because it looks like tacky fur trimming other than that, if you cant make your own costume, i recommend this if you are looking for a goddess costume

It really IS crooked!

The picture shows the cape on the costume a little off center and I thought it was just because of the way the model was standing but it really IS crooked. It comes up higher on one side than on the other - very odd. Also, the piece of fabric on the front of the costume behind the gold lacing is a plastic-like material that was several shades whiter than the dress. The gold leaves on the front went every which way and random pieces would flip up when I moved. I ended up returning it.
