Title: Great purchase, but please read!

This was a great costume and I had a LOT of fun in it, but there are things you should be aware of. Oh, and the horns DO NOT flop down anymore. Historically, jester horns were supposed to be floppy so I don't see the problem. When it arrived, it was all in a typical tiny costume bag. This is fine, but the mask was smashed and mangled beyond all reason. If you can heat it up and have a place to attach it and reshape it (mannequin head), then you might be able to use it. The other reviews state that the mask makes your face too hot and you can't breathe out of it anyway. Since I wasn't going to use the mask (and I don't come off as a "scary" person, I decided to ax the whole "evil" part of this costume. I took the skull decorations off, and sewed bells on the horns and the flaps on the costume. The costume itself was very roomy, and a bit big for me (I'm between the teen and adult sizes). I'm 5'5" 140lbs and the pants were too long and the sleeves on the top were too loose. I used a piece of red fabric to tie around the wrist to keep the sleeves from moving upwards. I cut part of the belt off and made a tie for the other wrist. I bought back gloves to go with it (not the ones they recommend here), and the cane (GREAT accessory). I also bought the jester shoes (for indoor use only - fragile, and I attached bells to them too). Since I didn't wear a mask, I just used black makeup to make an eye mask. The costume was a big hit, lots of fun, and it won "funniest costume" at the party I went to. The accessories are well worth it and so was the costume, it's just that you may want to alter it a bit.

The costume is great and fits my husband well - the only problem is the mask. When you put it on it squashes your nose since the mask nose is extremely flat and does not allow room for a normal nose to extend into the mask. We are going to have to find a mask that is more comfortable which, overall, is adding to the cost of the costume. Not a good thing!!
