I love the idea of this costume because so many lady costumes are quite frankly, skanky. So, being a person who did not want to dress up as a dancer who is dressed up like a fireman, police officer or some other occupation that apparently has to have a low cut top, short skirt and a push up bra, I opted for a traditional classic. Alfred Hitchcock is one of my favorites, so I immediately loved this one. I got it in the mail rather quickly which was great but I must say, I was pretty disappointed in the quality, it was full on polyester which is alright, luckily it was a cool night. The birds that came sewn onto the dress were terrible, they looked like disco ducks or black geese. I ended up cutting most of them off and buying ravens at Michael's and then sewing them on myself. I made some fake blood out of corn syrup, red and blue dye and a dash of corn starch, then I made some faux beak stabs all over my body. I even sewed a bird on my blonde wig (not included) for effect. Everyone loved my costume and I had a blast. If I had it to do all over again, even though the costume was lacking, I'd probably buy it again, just because I don't have time to shop at Good Will for the green suit.

I was a little nervous about this purchase since it had such mixed reviews. But when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised! While the birds aren't realistic and kind of dorky, I just think it adds to the awesomeness of this costume. I must say the bird attached to the headband is perfectly formed and does take the same shape as the one in the photo on this site. And although it is not the best material, what halloween costume is? A nice synthetic fabric will keep you toasty on a chilly halloween night. haha. I can't wait to wear it and have to answer "what are you supposed to be?" a million times because no one my age has seen The Birds.

I just adore this costume! I'm a huge Hitchcock fan and when I saw this costume I simply had to get it. My two complaints are the wig, and the jacket material. The wig was just so different from the movie and costume. It didn't match well and it was difficult trying to style it myself. If I could do things myself I wouldn't buy my costumes lol. The jacket, although it did it's job, was foam like. Other than that I love my costume! The dress fit very well and it was fun chosing where to put certain birds!

This was a fun costume - it won me 1st place at our office Halloween Party! Quality was very good; I'm a size 8 and it fit really well; received a lot of compliments and it got everyone thinking about their favorite Alfred Hitchcock movie

Great custome. Very different than the norm out there. The crows were a scream....! Hitchcock movie lovers can really appreciate this one. Only complaint is the one-size-fits-all didn't work out well for me, since I'm only 5-1. Had to do some alternations so the hem wouldn't hang past my knees. Also the velcro belt kept catching on the jacket so I removed it altogether. Great, fun costume!!
