Title: good choice- runs big

I was satified with the costume purchase. However, it runs very big. I ordered a small, I am 5'1" and have a normal chest size. I had to pin the costume in, I could have sewn it, but no time. It was very large in the chest area, but pinning worked. I had read other reviews about the boot covers, if you use double sided tape to keep covers down around your feet it works perfectly. I tucked the top of the boot covers in my boots so they wouldn't fall down. You need to wear high boots(that go up to your knee, or almost) with the boot covers or look for an alternative shoe. Cape was a bit tight, but I typically don't like things around my neck. Wrist covers were small, but I have small wrists, so it was fine. Skirt was not too short, but I bought the boy shorts just in case. ( I wear shorter skirts than this in the summer) I made my own lasso with rope that I bought at a store. Costume held up througth the entire evening of bar hopping. Can use again or let a friend borrow. Shipped fast.

Title: Fun but a little cheap.

The costume itself is very fun. It does run a little big but not by much. (I'm 5'3" and 145lbs - I would have ordered the medium but I ordered a small since it said it runs big. It just barely fit.) Considering that I spent almost $50 , I expected a little more. However, I never expect what is in the picture - they are purposely made better to sell more. The tiara, gauntlets, belt and cape are cool. The dress is (to me) very cheap red velvet. (The image looks nothing like velvet.) The dress comes wrapped in tissue so that the blue and white stars don't stick to each other, but I still noticed ink transfer/rub-off. The boot covers were HORRIBLE. They do mention that the boot covers are different from pictured, but they are really BAD. The two I got are were two different velvet reds and HAD NOTHING TO KEEP THEM PROPERLY UP. I'm not crafty but I managed. I had to go get some elastic to sew onto the tops to keep them up. For (almost) $50, they could have thrown in a small gold lasso. I found some in our ribbon drawer and used that. I'd only recommend this costume if it were a little less expensive. This site is great though.
