This is a nicer item than I thought it might be - actually has a nice weight to it. I plan to "gray" the silver just a bit to make it look more realistic - but a nice addition to my Elf costume for a Lord of the Rings party I am going to....dressed up! BG

I was not impressed with this purchase. I didn't expect it to be super high-quality, but it didn't even meet my minimum expectations. It looks cheap, and shipping was outrageous. I realized why when it arrived in a huge box that could have fit about 20 of what I ordered.

I think the color could have been toned down a bit but I make all my own costumes and I'm also a painter, so I just used some acrylic paint to tone it down and make it look more realistic. Paint sells for less than a dollar, so the total price is still reasonable. My son loved it! Also, super quick delivery. Actually arrived 4-5 days sooner than expected! And I paid for the cheapest delivery. Awesome!

not for Frodo costume

If you're thinking of buying this for the Frodo costume, reconsider. There is no good place to pin it on, not even to clasp the cape around the neck. It also has a light green hue that makes it look less realistic than it could be.
