Fun prop! My son loved it. My only complaint is that is was not a little bit sturdier. I would have paid one or two bucks more for it to be less breakable. I have all boys, and they aren't exactly gentle with his kind of stuff :)

Don't twist too tight!

We had this out of the package for about a minute before it was broken. Fixable, but disappointing. My kids put this scythe together and twisted the pieces of the handle together just fine, but when twisting on the "blade" my son twisted it too tight and the plastic split. I was able to fix it with electrical tape, but it was disappointing.

Looks cool but flimsy

This piece assembles in 3 pieces - I thought it would be great for storage later on - but it turns out that won't be necessary - because it broke the first time we put it together. I gaffer taped the first place it broke, and it broke in a second. This is alright for a decoration - put it in a skeleton's hands on your lawn - but don't hand it to a kid without a roll of duct tape handy.

cheap cost and product

The product looked great online and in the package. I took it out of the package and put it together - that was easy. The bottom section of the handle broke off within 15 minutes of holding it. No rough play involved or hitting stuff. The handle bent when tapping it on the floor and when I went to straighten it out, the entire piece snapped off.

Scythe what I expected

The Grim Reaper Scythe is what i expected for the money. It is plastic, and the handle is hollow and needs to be assembled-- but it is easy. As part of a child's costume, it is just right, lightweight and safe.

What I was looking for

I did not expect the handle to be long enough on this and it isn't. I was hoping for a good top piece that I could fit onto a long wooden dowel that I will paint black, and it this will work perfectly.
