What a disappointment...

This is a really cute costume, but this had to be sewn for a child. I ordered the S/M, which is supposed to fit women sizes 2-8. I am 5'4 and a size 4, and I couldn't even pull my wrists through the sleeves without hearing it start to tear. The seams around the bust wouldn't even cover an A cup, let alone my B cup. However, the pantaloons fit great, go figure. I was afraid that the larger size wouldn't have been any better, and the bottoms would then be too big, so I passed on exchanging it. If it were sewn correctly I absolutely would have kept it. I am very disappointed!

I am very happy with this costume, it's not cheap looking at all. Mine (just purchased in 08/2010) does have the pom-poms on the front - so I did not have to make any alterations there. The straps are kind of in a strange spot, but I just plan to cut them and stich them over a tad. Also, there is not much room in the bust - I am going to have to wear something underneath like a cami probably and I am not that large (B). The quality of the material is good, nice and stretchy and comfy. It does run small however. I am a size 2 and the size small/medium barely fits me. It is adorable on though. I purchased the whole thing, including wig and shoes - together it is looks amazing! I would definitely recommend this costume!

Great little outfit

I bought this costume for my daughter for a dance concert and I was very happy with it. It fits her perfectly (with a small adjustment to the straps) and she is a Aus size 8. The quality is very good. I was especially pleased with the prompt service. From ordering to receiving it took just four days (including a weekend). Will definately visit this site again if I need any other costumes.

Wow! Factor

As the birthday girl, I bought this costume as my first of three costume changes planned for the night. Turns out that this costume had the Wow! Factor as everyone thought I looked terrific. if you have a small frame (Aussie size 8) the design of the Mimi costume is very flattering. I teamed it with a pink, punk wig (also from BuyCostumes.com) and felt very feminine whilst standing out from the crowd (very important to all us gals). My only critisism is that the bust section would be better with cups inserted as the seam rode up and I was constantly tugging it back underneath my bust. Overall, however, I was well pleased and recommend this costume.

This is a very high quality costume. Very well made thick stretchy material. I made a few adjustments the balls on the front needed more fullness. I think the sizing runs a little big due to the give in the material. I loved it and would recommend this to a friend.

Awesome cute fun costume

The costume material quality was excellent. There is even a zipper in the back of the dress. If your a size 8 I would recommend going for the larger size. I am a size 7 - 8 and I don't think I could even imagine trying to get into that small/medium size. I did have to alter the straps on the dress because they are very loose but its an easy fix (Just a stitch in the back or a safety pin). The bottoms look excellent, no problems. I bought the wig, white gloves, and got a pair of white tights. The wig really completes the look. I would tell anyone who is bigger than a size A cup to wear a black bra with this costume and don't worry no one will be even able to tell with the straps covering the bra strap and the dress covering the rest. I am investing in some big pom pom's to sew onto the front because they do not come with. Instead, in the place of the pom poms down the front are some criol material which looks cheap but would look fine if you are just wearing it to trick-or-treat in. Overall I love this costume and it is better than any other one I've bought from a store.

cute, but fits akwardly!

Very cute, however, the fit isnt the greatest. It is designed for someone with a LARGE bust. My sister and I both purchased it and I have a small bust and have to alter it so that it fits me correctly on the top. It is elastic around the top, but it hangs very loosely. I do really like the fabric though.
