Being under the impression that having searched plus sized dresses that this dress would be. Not only was it not cut to suit plus sized women but there is no way that a dress this size fits plus sized women.

Wonderful Costume - Be Careful on Size

This costume is well made, and very very cute. I received tons of complements on it - even did pinup hair and makeup. BEWARE though - I am a 12/14 normally with a 36DD chest and barely squeezed into the 2XL. I took caution based on other reviews and ordered the largest size and was amazed when I barely fit in it. But glad that I did - Oh and it is very short! Perfect for a flirty costume! Over all I loved it - just make sure you take caution on the size.

I am glad I read the reviews before purchasing. They said it was small for the size and they were right. I wear a 14/16 and I barely squeezed into it. They were also right about the length. I wore navy shorts under it with white tights and it looked ok. Everyone thought it was very cute and new exactly what I was, a little sailor girl. I enjoyed the costume. I'll have to lose more weight and maybe it won't be so tight next year.

I got this costume and almost perfect - the hat was horrible - it is floppy and huge.. I do have a small head but even still I don`t know how it could fit anyone properly. I am 5 feet and it`s still very short but the rest fits great. I have a 39inch chest 30.5 waist and 37 hips. I really love it other then the hat. I have white stockings I will wear with it and some heels. I also have a petticoat.

The costume looks great! I got XXL just in case after looking at the measurements and after trying it on it was a little tight in the bust area (I wear 38 DD) but not uncomfortable. Besides the bust every place else fit perfectly. I would definitely buy the petticoat or else the costume wouldn't look as pin up or cute without it. The hat that comes with it looks okay. The way they show it in the picture with the navy band above a little white where it sits on the head is wider in reality. I just folded it where the navy band goes around it to make it look normal and not cartoonishly large. The material is a better quality than cheaper costumes and that is a plus.

Absolutely NOT what I expected

I was so anxious to get it because it looked so cute online, but this costume is NOT anything like it looks online. First of all it does not flatter a person with curves. Second of all, the material of this costume is so cheap-looking that when I took it out of the bag, it was super wrinkled and it would definitely have to be steam pressed before being worn. I returned it as soon I took it off.

I'm a 18/20 (at most) and this thing didn't even begin to zip. If you've got any kind of chest or stomach, don't bother!
