The costume was a little larger than size, the gloves were different sizes- one was so small it barely fit my child's fingers and the elastic on one of the shoes covers broke the first time it was tried on. The wig was so small it didn't fit on anyone's head in the whole house, no matter how young because it was only two-dimensional and made out of a material that was not very stretchy, and not three-dimensional like the actual shape of a human head. Then besides it not fitting at all, it was yellow in color to the rest of the costume and the whole point was for the whole ensemble to blend as one to give the idea of continuity for the statue-look! It will not be worn this Halloween because too much work will have to be done on it. Looking forward on wearing it next year, if only to have time to try to enlarge one glove, repair the shoe cover and figure out what to do with a wig that doesn't fit and is yellow!

To stretch the rubber cap, so that is larger and less (painfully) constricted. Place in the dryer for 20-30 minutes, then put it on, and let it cool. Illicits MUCH better fit. The extra large fits a size 12. If you need larger, order the mans costume. Zipper is short, (difficult to get into) arms and bust are tight

Way too small. I wear a true 14 loosely. This (XL) extra large fits like a 9-10. Zipper is too short making putting over head tight. Tight in the shoulders and bust. Glove thumbs too short, fingers all cut wide. Rubber headpiece is also too tight, Fabric is tricot, with reasonable seams and weight. Coloration of fabric is true to the picture. I am 5'5"- XL length was perfect If you wear >12, buy the male version.

very nicely made, but sizes run way too small. Got XL thinking to have room to spare and it fits like second skin. Plastic wig cap does not match in color and comes to a point in back and is big enough to pull down over face! Gloves are too tight and fingers are poorly done.

I personally thought this costume was an excellent idea, and all my friends said it turned out really cool looking! However there were a few down sides.. lucking i had read the other reviews first! I usually wear a size 3 and ordered the large that is supposed to fit like a 10-14 and it fit me like a glove.. so definitely order larger regardless of what it tells you to! and another downflaw was the wig was extremely tight on my head.. I wound up taking it off halfway through the party because it was giving me a headache! But the overall costume and look were great!

Definitely Disappointing

As others have stated, I saw that the sizes ran small, so I ordered a medium, when I would normally wear a small. I'm a 2-4, and the medium was tight across the chest, arms, and rear sections. I couldn't imagine how someone larger could even fit into the thing! As has already been said, the head piece is very tight and covered my left eye brow, as it came down so far. I couldn't wear it farther back because of my natural hairline showing. Because it's been flat in the packaging, it has the look of a rooster's cockscomb, my husband laughed hysterically when I put it on. The best, and last part, were the gloves. These were so incorrectly sewn, I thought the hand that they used for the pattern had to be severely malformed. Between the middle two fingers the stitching didn't come down far enough, creating a webbed-finger look. Several of the fingers were either sewn way to large or much too tight. To say the least, they are uncomfortable to wear. You are actually better off just painting your hands too. The costume looks beautiful in the photo, but is very poor in execution and was a severe disappointment for me.

A little snug but does the trick (or treat)

Hosting a Halloween Party. Don't want to be too risque. Needed comfort. Chose this for these reasons. The cap is too warm for my taste due to the plastic or vinyl or whatever it is but overall a great costume. Gloves will have to come off while serving food of course. Fits a little snugly. I am a size 8 and occasionally a 10. So take care there. I like this online site for purchasing costumes though. Easy!

Mediocre purchase

This costume is not bad overall, except that it's not true to size at all. I ordered an X-Large and it was about the size of a Medium (Canadian sizes)... The material is not extendible, and the head piece was the final nail in the coffin (it's made of thick plastic, and once on, it looks like a chicken head piece); real ugly looking, not like a round head at all... The gloves that comes with it are deformed as well, you have to have giant's fingers for them to fit properly, and stubby fingers on top of it all. Not well designed at all. I would not recomment this costume to anybody.

I ordered size small because it said size 6 - 8 and under 125 lbs, which I am. It was so tight, I could hardly get it on. When I did get it on, it was so tight I couldn't zip it up. I had to send it back at my own expense which was a bummer because it wasn't my fault. So, order one size larger than you think. (The gloves are huge.)

XL wouldn't fit a child

I ordered this costume in an XL because the description warned that it ran small. When I received it, it wouldn't even fit over my shoulders. I typically wear a large or XL top and this costume was no where near that size. The XL wouldn't fit a child. I don't think it would even fit someone who wears a small.... Also, when I tried the headpiece on, it was so tight I wouldn't have been able to wear it for 10 minutes, let alone an entire night of Halloween revelry. The idea is unique and great, but the execution on this costume is poor.
